FERRITE ROTOR MAGNETS

High Performance Injection Molded Rotors

Ferrite rotor magnets are high-performance, cost-effective magnetic components in small to medium-sized motors, home appliances, and consumer electronics. These rotors are injection-moulded with a mixture of permanent magnet powder and nylon polymers such as PA6, PA12, and PPS, offering excellent magnetic strength, durability, and corrosion resistance.

Ferrite Rotor Magnets in Standard Sizes & Custom Options

The size of the injection-moulded rotor is critical in the design and application of ceiling fan magnets. Consistency in dimensioning is essential at the time of assembly. Even the tiniest deviation prevents proper fitting of the rotor, which may cause it to vibrate or probably lead to a change in the motor load and electrical efficiency during operation.

  • The outer diameter of the injection-molded rotor ranges from 20.00 mm to 55.00 mm (0.79″ to 2.17″).
  • The inner diameter ranges from 1.98 mm to 17.00 mm (0.08″ to 0.67″).
  • The height varies from 5.00 mm to 57.00 mm (0.20″ to 2.24″).
  • The Gauss value spans from 1000 GS to 1800 GS. The number of poles can range from 4 to 12.

During customization, we ensure that each rotor’s dimensions are exact and give rigorous tolerance limits. The specific tolerances are:

  • Thickness, outer diameter, and inner diameter tolerance: ±0.10 mm for all sizes.

These tolerances and dimensions may be adjusted based on a specific application’s operating environment and design requirements.

Magnetization Pattern and Direction

Ferrite rotor magnets usually come with Outer Diameter Multipole Magnetization, where the magnetization is along the outer diameter of the rotor. Such a magnetization method will ensure a balanced magnetic field distribution around the rotor for smooth magnetic output and stability in operation. During application, the direction of the outer diameter magnetization decides the magnetic flux density, torque transmission efficiency of a rotor, and the general stability of the system.

Ferrite rotor magnet Features & Characteristics

  • What is an ferrite rotor magnet? An injection-moulded rotor injects a mixture of permanent magnet powder and nylon polymers (such as PA6, PA12, and PPS) into a mould. It is widely used in small to medium-sized motors, home appliances, and consumer electronics.

  • What is the magnetization direction of the ferrite rotor magnet? Injection-molded rotors typically use outer diameter multipole magnetization, where magnetization is applied along the outer diameter. This ensures an even magnetic field distribution, providing stable magnetic output and operation.

  • What is the magnetic strength of the ferrite rotor magnet? The Gauss value (magnetic strength) ranges from 1000 GS to 1800 GS.

  • What is the temperature tolerance of the ferrite rotor magnet? Made with heat-resistant nylon polymers, the rotor is suitable for standard operating temperature ranges, ensuring stable performance.

  • What is the tolerance of the ferrite rotor magnet? The size tolerance is ±0.10 mm, ensuring precise fit and high-quality assembly.

  • What are the applications of the ferrite rotor magnet? It is primarily used in small to medium-sized motors, ceiling fans, home appliances, and consumer electronics.

  • Does the ferrite rotor magnet support customization? We offer customization for different sizes, shapes, and magnetic strengths to meet specific application requirements.

  • What is the lifespan of an ferrite rotor magnet? Under standard operating conditions, injection-molded rotors have a long service life, ensuring stable performance and efficiency.

  • Can the ferrite rotor magnet withstand high loads? Depending on the design and material selection, injection-molded rotors can handle various load conditions, ensuring efficient operation.

Ferrite Rotor Magnet in Other Designs

In addition to the traditional ferrite rotor magnet designs below, we also present some novel rotor magnet designs for particular application fields:

Injection Molded NdFeB Rotor
The NdFeB rotor magnet produced by injection moulding technology combines the strongest neodymium iron boron material with precision moulding processes for high magnetic energy density and a stronger magnetic field. This design is especially appropriate for high-performance and efficient motor applications.

SmFeN Rotor by Injection Molding
The injection-molded SmFeN rotor magnet has excellent high-temperature stability and retains magnetic fields well. Compared to traditional magnets, SmFeN materials perform very well at high temperatures and are, hence, very suitable for applications in highly high-temperature working conditions.

Injection Molded Hybrid-bonded Rotor
The hybrid-bonded rotor magnet has been made using injection moulding and advanced adhesive technologies to maintain its strength while improving structural stability. This will suit applications involving higher magnet strength and better wear resistance.
